Description

ToyBox Security is an online 1-4 player comedy action game inspired by the classic film "Home Alone". Players can assume the role of a kid defending a home alone which they were paid to protect, or a robber attempting to steal as much loot as they can before the kids defeat them with whimsical traps, or time runs out and the fuzz comes.

History

ToyBox Security began development in mid 2021 after developer thatcozydev imagined a game that he would want to play as an 8 year old boy. Being home alone as a kid and having the courage to fend off burglars with traps made from toys and household objects seemed like a unique and fresh take on the online FPS genre. The idea to make it online multiplayer with players having the option to play as the robbers was a natural decision. After many rewatches of our favorite classic holiday movie and a couple prototypes, thatcozydev realized he had something fresh to offer gamers of all ages: A 4 player online multiplayer comedy action game that relies on ingenius traps, quick wits, and hilarious ragdoll effects to have the entire game lobby laughing.
